Dr. Ricardo Carrásco, PhD, OTR/L, FAOTA, is an occupational therapy professor and ikebana artist. He provided the cover art for Summer 2021 edition of The Open Journal Occupational Therapy (OJOT). Ikebana ancient Japanese arranging flowers. “Kanta Wind, Sun Moon” design made from blue white Phalaenopsis orchids, chrysanthemum, bear grass, heirloom driftwood. This gendaika, or freestyle design, a haiku tribute to wind, sun, moon. Carrásco has been practicing more than 5 decades. As scientist therapist, he experience working in pediatric, academic, research, mental health, wellness practice settings. currently serves as headmaster Banmi Shofu Ryu school ikebana. His story shared sense duty obligation preserve this tradition contemporary healing artful practice.
